Review: Taming The Beast by Jinx Williams
Taming The Beast by Jinx Williams is the first book in the Fire Storm Series and I can’t wait to read the rest. The hero is living with a curse put upon him by an evil wizard. Having been turned into a dragon shifter eons ago he has a chance at redemption. But he must first find the sword of his family and he has been searching for thousands of years to no avail.
By sheer luck and maybe a little divine intervention Ravin comes across Jacquelyn Frasier, a forklore librarian and the person in charge of an exhibit at the Natural History Museum of New York City. Little does he realize that she is also the keeper of the sword he so desperately needs.
Jac has always dreamed of dragons and heroes. When she first meets Ravin Barrilyl all she can think of is how rude and arrogant he is. He is immediately drawn to the spitfire who doesn’t want anything to do with him. Thrown together because of the exhibit Jac starts to come to terms with the attraction she feels for Ravin. It isn’t long before the “you know what hits the fan” and she isn’t even phased by it.
Ravin and Jac are the perfect soul mates; they compliment each other in their mutual stubbornness and the depth of feelings for each other. When Ravin and Jac finally do come together it is a sensual heat fest – and that doesn’t even include the smokin’ dragon! Ms. Williams has written a very interesting tale. I was sorry it ended so quickly and it left plenty of unanswered questions to keep me intrigued for the next installment of this story. I definitely recommend Taming the Beast, though I’m happy to say that there is only so much taming you can do to a dragon, he’s much more fun when he lets his wild side out to play!
