Title: DAUGHTERS OF CHANGE |
Daughter of Change is a collection of three short stories and one novel that revolves around one theme: a woman coming into mystical powers and its consequences.
In ‘Huldre’, Sigrid suddenly becomes irresistible to men, but has an unwanted cow’s tail.
‘Firewitch’ talks about Freddy who inherits her mother’s ability to control fire. The search to find a way to control the power takes her to Romania where she finds love, sorrow and pain in her new life.
‘Succubus’ is the story of Theadora, whose power ends the life of the man she loves.
‘Kiss me’ is loosely based on the fairytale "The Frog Prince"; with an added twist.

A remarkable compilation of fairytales. These modernized tales still managed to invoke a sense of child-like awe mixed with a sense of reality as it has intermingled fantasy with the harsh cruelities of the world today. A very interesting read.

| Comment: | I love fairytales and fantasy stories with a bit of romance, so I loved these stories. And they are different, unique.
